Anyone with head and neck cancer whose treatment may affect their ability to speak.

You may still be eligible. If speech has already changed, we can sometimes create a personalized voice from existing recordings, such as home videos or voice messages.

The initial recording session takes 10–20 minutes and is done before treatment whenever possible.

Some collaborators, including ElevenLabs, are commercial companies independent of UHN — if you use their services, that's a direct relationship between you and the company, and UHN/your care team has no access to your voice clone. We encourage you to ask any third-party provider about data ownership, how your voice may be used over time, and how to withdraw your recording if you change your mind.
